Mrs. Carrie Branaman Dies Funeral Tuesday


Mrs. Carrie Branaman, 78, a life-long resident of the Clearspring vicinity, died late Saturday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Clearspring Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Moseley, of Uniontown, in charge. Burial in the Liberty Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Spurgeon Funeral Home in Brownstown until the time of the funeral.

Mrs. Branaman was born September 5, 1875, in Jackson county, the daughter of the late John Wesley and Elizabeth Jane Harrell Cornett. She was married December 27, 1896, in Clearspring to James Branaman, who preceded her in death. She was a member of the Clearspring Baptist church and during her life=long residence in Clearspring, enjoyed the acquaintance and esteem of a host of friends who mourn her death.

She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Marie C. Cooley, of Lawrenceburg and Mrs. Gertrude Callahan, Medora RR. Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
