Mrs. Minnie Burns, 82 years old, died Sunday at the home of a daughter of Glen Allen. The former Minnie Funke was born October 27, 1872 in Ohio, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Funke. She came to Glen Allen community 71 years ago.
She married George Burns in 1896. He died in 1916.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Luther Felker, with who she resided; Dora Ossig of Glen Allen, Mo.; two sons, Carlos Burns of Jackson, Mo.; and Fred Burns of Benton, Mo.; two brothers, E.J. Funke of St. Louis, Mo.; and John H. Funke of Chicago, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie Stamm of Melbourn, Ill.; and Miss Alma Funke of St. Louis, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Last rites were Tuesday at the Methodist Church in Glen Allen. Rev. H.H. Murdick conducted services and burial was in Glen Allen Cemetery. Baker Funeral Home of Lutesville was in charge.
