Donna Young Dunn passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 from complications after surgery. She was born and raised in Shreveport and graduated from C. E. Byrd High School and LSU-Baton Rouge.
After raising two children she later in life decided to return to school to pursue her Masters in Social Work. She worked with and helped the families of the military at Barksdale A.F.B. She served in many community organizations in addition to serving on the board at The Glen.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Remer and Pearl Young. She is survived by her husband, Forrest Dunn; his daughter, Linda Turner and husband, Dan; his son, Robby Dunn and wife, Marabella; grandchildren, Jennifer, Rachel, Jay, Sean and Lauren. Donna's son, Bryan Beard and wife, Audra Bouslav; and grandson, Koen; her son, Austin Beard and wife, Andria; and granddaughters, Ashley and Allison.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, at Osborn Funeral Home. Donna wished to have a private family graveside service where she will be laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends.
Donna was truly the most perfect mother, grandmother and wife, that we have had the privilege to know, love and have shared.
