Mary Ellen Coull, 65, of the 200 block of East Lorengo Ave., died Sept. 1, 1997, in DePaul Hospital. Born in Williamsport, Pa., she retired as a registered nurse after 34 years with DePaul Hospital. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the widow of Thomas A. Coull Jr. She was a past member of the Virginia Nurses Association. Survivors include three daughters, Cynthia M. Coull of Norfolk, Elizabeth ``Connie'' Carnes of Virginia Beach and Annie McGowan of Chesapeake; two sons, Thomas A. Coull III of Norfolk and Edward G. Coull of Anchorage, Alaska; two sisters, Marguerite Norris of Williamsport, Pa., and Lucille Hudson of Virginia Beach; a brother, Joseph Ohnmeiss of Staten Island, N.Y.; and 11 grandchildren, Barry, Tim, Erin, Mariellen, Thomas, Patrick Ryan, Tommy, Chelsea, Casey, Kyra, and Patrick Shand. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Fr. Lou Ruoff. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
