Bettie Greenwade Bedell, 93, of Big Spring, died Wednesday March 19, 2014 at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held in the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel at 11:00 AM Friday with Dr. Doug Shelley of Eastside Baptist Church officiating.

She was born in Rochester, Texas on October 20, 1929 to Louise and Barrett Greenwade.

She grew up in Monahans and also attended Texas Christian University.

She was a longtime resident of Howard County. She moved to Big Spring from Lubbock in October 1962 and worked at First National Bank of Big Spring for ten years until December 1972. She worked at several different banks beginning in 1950.

On June 15, 1972 she married Clay R. Bedell in Monahans.

She was a member of East Fourth Baptist Church.

She is survived by one step-daughter: Marilyn Burgess of Midland; two sister-in-laws: Betty Bedwell of Big Spring and Wanoke Roberts of Nevada, TX along with one grandson: Clay McIntire of Stanton.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Clay Bedell on November 6, 1994.
