Cecilia Elizabeth (Krzewina) Meyer, age 97, of Moss Point, MS. passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Meyer was born January 14, 1917 to Mr. John Joe Krzewina and Mrs. Anna (Teska) Krzewina in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married Mr. Harold A. Meyer, Saturday, December 30, 1939 in Milwaukee, WI. She spent her early years nurturing her children. As more women entered the workforce she worked as a chocolatier. She and her husband, Harold joined their daughters when they moved to the Mississippi coast in 1977 and settled in the Moss Point area. Cecilia lived her life devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was an avid member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church serving on the Altar Society Guild and many other church committees. She loved cardinals and many cardinal nick-knacks that were collected over the years. She enjoyed watching the cardinals and blue jays in her back yard. This devoted wife, mother and grandmother will be missed greatly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold in 1983, an Infant son, three brothers; Roman, Edmund and Joseph, four sisters; Lottie Klafka, Helen Rewolinski, Lucille Swiatkowski and Mary Magdalene Krzewina, a grandson; Steven Buehl and son-in-law Mike Buehl.

She is survived by four children; Joan Buehl of Lawrenceville, GA, Ruth Steiner and her husband 'Buddy'of Vancleave, MS, Clarence Meyer and his wife Candeth of Pensacola, FL and Arthur Meyer of Escatawpa, MS; 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass will be Saturday July 5, 2014 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Moss Point at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment will conclude at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Joseph's Catholic Church as offerings for future masses in the names of Harold and Cecilia Meyer.
