In Memoriam
Clara White Arnold.
Clara White was born in Adams
township, Wapello county, January 18,
1856 and departed this life December
25, 1915, at 2:30 o'clock at the age of 59
years, 11 months and 7 days.
She was converted and joined the
Baptist church at Hopewell in 1874, on
her eighteenth birthday, and was a
member of that church until 1892,
when she moved her membership to
the South Ottumwa Baptist church,
where she was an ever faithful and
consistent member, serving her mas-
ter and loved by all.
She was united in marriage to James
M. Arnold in 1872; no children were
born to this union. She leaves to mourn
their(sic) loss, her husband, her aged
mother, Mrs. E. B. White, five sisters
and three brothers, Mrs. Ella Love,
Turlock, Calif.; Mrs. Ida Dorothy,
Frazier, Idaho; A. M. White and F. M.
White, Foster, Nebr.; R. H. White,
California; Mrs. Elizabeth Musick,
Iconium; Mrs. Belle Chisman, Ottum-
wa; Mrs. T. E. Barlett, Hobart, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her fath-
er Page White and two brothers E. S.
and C. P. White.

Mrs. Arnold has been ill for the past
year and was confined to her bed for
several months. Funeral services at the
South Ottumwa Baptist Tuesday Dec. 28
at 1 o'clock by Rev. E. L. Mills formerly
pastor of Hopewell. Burial was made in
Shaul cemetery.
