Funeral services for John H. Gibbons, a retired farmer in the Argyle community will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Denton's Schmitz-Floyd-Hamlett Funeral Home. The Rev. Roy G. Law, pastor of the Argyle Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Denton.

Mr. Gibbons died Tuesday in Flow Memorial Hospital.

A native of Argyle, Mr. Gibbons married Ethel Sparks, June 3, 1908, in Denton. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Warren S. Gibbons and David C. Gibbons of Fort Worth, and Jack Gibbons of Argyle; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Robinson of Orange Grove, Tex and Mrs. Margaret Jones of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Martin of Argyle and Mrs. Annie Stadt of Fort Worth; one brother, Will E. Gibbons of Argyle; 10 grandchildren and eight grant-grandchildren.
