Elva Bonham, age 78, originally from Albuquerque, Los Griegos neighborhood, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014, with her loving family at her side.
Elva is survived by her son, Leonard "Freddie" García and his wife, Stella, daughter, Claudette Horn and her husband, William "Bill", sister, Betty Bryant, granddaughter, Stephanie Alvillar and her husband, Cesario, three great-grandchildren, C. J., Ayla and Amaya, uncles and aunt, Oscar García and his wife, Helen and Pete García and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Elva was preceded in death by her husband, Terrell Bonham, parents, Fabricio and Laura García, sister, Irene Aragón and her husband, Orlando and brother-in- law, Gene Bryant.
Elva was a member of the Catholic Church and a devout member of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Gabriella Nieto. Final visitation will be on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
