Katrina Alma Wardlaw, a daughter of David Jordan Wardlaw and the former Miss Mildred Elizabeth "Bettie" Wideman, was born in the bounds of Long Cane and Troy in Abbeville County, South Carolina. Her parents were both from old Associate Reformed Presbyterian families; who were original settlers in Abbeville County.

In 1903, Kittie, as Katrina was known, married John Tatum Bradley, a son of James Edward and Sallie [née Wideman] Bradley. Kittie and J. T. had twin sons born to them:
David Wardlaw (1904-1992)
John Edward (1904-1905)

Katrina Alma Wardlaw Bradley departed this life on the 10th of September 1907; just a month shy of her 28th birthday. She was laid to rest at Long Cane A.R.P. churchyard cemetery.
