Betty J. Baker, 85, of Keefer Mill Road in Danville, and a guest of Grandview Health Homes, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Grandview.
She was born June 18, 1928, in Danville, a daughter of the late Sydney and Stella (Ware) Moser.
She was a devoted homemaker to her late husband of 46 years, Roy Baker, who preceded her in death in 1992. She was also preceded by a son, Dennis Baker, in 2010.
Mrs. Baker was known for maintaining her own lawn of more than four acres right up until last fall.
She is survived by a son, Lester, and his wife Wendy Baker of Lancaster; a daughter, Cindy, and her husband Steven Andersen of Doylestown; five grandchildren: Rachel, Stephanie, Ian, Melissa and David, and four great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St. in Danville. Private graveside funeral services will be held following the public visitation at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Edmund Minnich, retired, officiating.
