Chester -- James F. Goppert, 59, of Chester-Newell Rd. died at 6:10 p.m. Friday at City Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born July 22, 1926, in Chester, a son of Gladys Louk Goppert of East Liverpool and the late William Goppert. Mr. Goppert was retired from Anchor Hocking Co. where he had been a jiggerman. Services are to be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel with Dennis Arnold of the New Manchester Christian Church officiating. Friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral home. Burial is to be in Locust Hill Cemetery.
Frederick and Clara, his wife, had no children.
