Marcella Francis Ritzinger Adams

Marcella Francis (Ritzinger) Adams passed away at Mercy Hospital in Joplin on February 27, 2014.
Marcella was born on March 8, 1937 to the union of Harry and Maude Irene (Galloway) Ritzinger in Whiteside, MO, and grew up around St. Joseph, MO.
She married Clyde Adams on June 28, 1956 in Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1997.
She spent most of her working life as a billing clerk for Leberman Enterprises in Kansas City, MO, retiring in 1987.
She and Clyde spent many years in the Kansas City area, but spent about 20 years of their married life in the four states. During her time here, she enjoyed her crafts, especially making photo albums, and cooking.
She attended Empire Mission Church in Galena.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Russell Adams.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Adams (wife, Jaeneen) of Galena, and Ronald Adams of Galena; one daughter, Joan (Adams) Whittington of Carthage, MO; one sister Betty Auton of Iowa; one daughter in law, Diana Adams of Galena; seven grandchildren, Cassie Hood (husband, Jeremy) of Springfield, MO, Stephanie McCracken of Neosho, MO, Shelby Whittington of Galena, Matthew Adams of Galena, Trina Miller of Richmond, MO, Bradlee Adams of Richmond, and Randy Adams of Galena; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at Derfelt Funeral Home of Galena on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 2 PM with burial to follow at Pence Cemetery.
Pastor Bob Winnett will officiate.
Visitation will take place Monday Evening from 6-7 PM at the funeral home.
