GILMER -- Lee Stevens Allen, of Gilmer, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 1, 2005.
Cremation arrangements are by Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Visitation will be held noon-service time at the funeral home.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2005, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother James Parrish officiating.

She was an active member of Indian Rock Baptist Church, and a loving mother and homemaker for many years, and later becoming a successful director with Beauti Control Cosmetics.

The last few years, she was a member of East Texas Mule Riders Association and East Texas Trail Riders Unlimited. She always lived life to it's fullest and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Lee Stevens Allen was born January 16, 1933, in Garrison, Texas, to Rosa and Albert Dent.

She was married 43 years to James E. Stevens and seven and a half years to Robert W. Allen, both of Gilmer.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband, Robert Allen of Gilmer; her children, Diane Hymer of San Antonio, Kathy Tucker and husband, Rodney, of Kingsport, Tenn., and Kim Jarvis and husband, Russell of White Oak; step-children, Toni Bowman and husband, Roy of Balinger, Glenda Hoffman of Balinger, and Wayne Allen and wife, Carolyn, of Harleton; 14 grandchildren;
8 great-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Pearl Cantrell of Richland Springs; sisters, Jean Alston, Janice Kelly, and Louise Dent; brother, George Dent; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Stevens; brothers, Jess and Ed Dent; and parents, Rosa and Albert Dent.
Because of her love for the Lord and others, donations can be made to the Indian Rock Baptist Church Building Fund, or Heart'sWay Hospice of Northeast Texas.
