TERRE HAUTE - Ruth E Waldren, 91, died at 7:20 a.m. Tuesday at Davis Gardens in Terre Haute.

Born April 9, 1920, in Daviess County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Donna (Webber) Potts.

She attended Washington schools and was a homemaker. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Terre Haute and Sullivan Eastern Star No. 188.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Johnson of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Yvonne Johnson of Terre Haute, Pamela Johnson of Sullivan, and Gary Johnson of Linton; and a brother, Fred Bauer of Indianapolis.

She is preceded in death by husbands Ira Horrall, Norwood Smith, Edward Cole, Kenneth Davis and Stanley Waldren; sisters Wanda Hostetler, Wilma Myers, Hazel Hoffman and Genevieve Smiley; and half brothers Dallas and Arnold Potts.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gill Chapel, with Rev. Lennie Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is after 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
