Cemetery burial records list her in the Stone plot (SW quarter) as "Celina DeRose" in Grave 4, with a death date of 29 January 1936. Daughters Cora and Marie Eva are in Graves 1 and 2 of the quarter, if this "Celina DeRose" is in fact their mother. Plot purchased by Peter Stone, East Mountain Road, July 6, 1921.


Mrs. Peter Stone Dies

Mrs. Celina Stone, 79, wife of Peter Stone, died at 8.05 this morning at her home on the Mohawk trail following a long illness. She was born in Canada, came to North Adams when a child and had lived here about 70 years. Besides her husband, Mrs. Stone leaves seven children: Miss Eva Stone of New York city, Mrs. Fred Lockburner of Newark (N.J.), Mrs. Lillian Collins, the Misses Ada and Cora Stone of this city, Leon of Hartford (Ct.), and David Stone of this city. The funeral will be held at Notre Dame church, Friday morning at 9 and the body placed in the vault to await burial in the family lot at Southview cemetery.
