Christine Marie Ford was born Nov. 25, 1914, in Shawneetown, Ill., a daughter of Elza Blair and Freda Faye (Knight) Ford. She was united in marriage to Orland Foulks in 1939 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He preceded her in death Sept. 25, 1995. Christine was a parishioner at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, writing poetry, playing the organ and dancing to good music. She especially loved spending time with all her friends and relatives in Paris, Ill. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or the Sister Genevieve Freund Scholarship Fund. Those left to honor her memory include her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Jerry Downs, Blue Grass, Iowa, Pat and Joe Curta, Bettendorf, and Janette Edwards, DeWitt, Iowa; a son, Orland R. and Nancy Foulks, Fort Collins, Colo.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great- grandchild, as well as her sisters, Paula Eldridge and Patricia Glick, both of Paris, Ill. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Foulks, in 1998, her parents, a brother and two infant sisters. May they rest in peace. The family is very grateful for the wonderful care provided by Heartland Hospice and Bettendorf Health Care Center.
