Ron was the son of Kenneth A. and Laura Petsinger Kerner.
He moved from Butler to Burton Heights OH with his family in 1955.

Ron enlisted in the Army on March 8, 1967, and was sent to Vietnam August 13 with the US First Cavalry.
He died of injuries received when an enemy hand grenade exploded.

Surviving are his parents of Parma OH, two sisters, a brother, and all of his grandparents.
Friends will be received first at the Powell Funeral Home on Cleveland OH.
His body will then be brought to the Young Funeral Home in West Sunbury where friends will also be received and services held, the Rev. Henry B. Hall Jr. will officiate.
Burial will be in West Sunbury Cemetery.
