He was born November 26, 1941 in Greene County, Indiana the son of Robert Leroy and Irene (Hoke) McKinley.
Willie worked as an excavator for Reith-Riley, Rollison's and Hudsons Excavating. He was a member of the Linton VFW, the Operators Union #841. He was an avid barrel racer, flag racer and enjoyed trail riding and coon hunting. He loved going to basketball games of his grandchildren and nephew.
Surviving relatives include his children: Lora McKinley Craig (Ed) of Solsberry, Cara McKinley of Bloomington and Corey McKinley of Solsberry. He has four grandchildren: Ashley Burch of Springville, Paul Schultz (Alexis) of Terre Haute, Jennifer Schultz of Terre Haute and Paisley McKinley of Solsberry; one great-grandchild Mason Hall of Springville; one brother Wallace McKinley of Bloomfield, three sisters, Connie Frye, Joy Yoho both of Bloomfield ad Cindy Jett of Sullivan; one step-brother Richard Ellett of Carlisle, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. Monday until the hour of service at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will follow at Bingham Cemetery in Solsberry.
The family wishes any donations be made to the Bingham Cemetery in care of Jenkins Funeral Home.
