My Maternal Grandfather

Father of Jean Musczynski, Walter "Syl" Kowalski, Dorothy Sedoskey, Adolek Kowalski, Sophia Koper, Frances Wills, John Kowalski, Edward Kowalski, & Steve Kowalski.

Predeceased by first wife, Antionette Kroznozoni.
Antionette is the name I have gotten from his daughter Theodora's granddaughter.
His death certificate which was reported by his eldest son, Syl, lists name of wife as Catherine Pluszga. Census records circa 1920 list a wife named Kate.
This does not affect my line but is confusing.

Predeceased by son, Steve Kowalski, with 3rd & common law wife, Sophie Mary Gabrysh Mazur.

Polish immigrant, he enlisted for the WWI draft but was never asked to serve.
He worked @ Dodge Brothers in Hamtramck, as a machinist @ the time.

During the Great Depression, Piotr & his 3rd & common law wife, Sophie, & their children, traveled Michigan as share croppers.
My Mom remembers that he had coal black hair, was said to have spoken 7 languages & was good hearted to his children.

The picture that I have posted here is the only one that exists of him. I cropped him out of a photo with my Grandma Sophie, his son Syl, & another man.
