Trudy Lyn Hatch Budge passed away on February 9, 2014 after battling over three years with Leiomyosarcoma, a rare cancer.
Trudy was born in Pocatello, Idaho on November 4, 1966, raised in Bancroft, Idaho, and later moved to Logan, Utah.
She was a cheerleader and graduated in both high school and in college with high honors, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration at Utah State University.
She met her husband, Carl, at the age of fourteen and began dating him at sixteen. They married in the Logan LDS Temple in 1989. After living a brief time in Arizona, they moved to the Salt Lake City area and have been raising their three sons in Sandy, Utah.
To say Trudy was a great mom is an incredible understatement. Being a wife and mother was everything to her and offered her many great adventures. Her unwavering testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was apparent in all she did and said, and is what made her such an amazing example. She leaves behind a vast number of people whose lives she has touched and enriched.
Trudy is survived by her husband, Carl W. Budge, and her sons, Brandon (currently serving a Spanish speaking mission for the LDS Church in Wichita, Kansas), Tyler, and Carter, as well as her parents, Tom and Eva Hatch; and her five sisters, Kay (Glen) Tanner, Connie (Roy) Hatch, Janice (Nick) Smith, Lori (Jay) Jenks, and Krista (Dahl) Thompson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., with a visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 15, 2014 in the Granite South Stake Center, 2130 East Gyrfalcon Drive (10000 South), Sandy.
