Williamston – Dorothy "Dot" Rutledge Kay, 85, of 309 Mitchell Road, widow of James Buford Kay, died Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her home. Born in Gastonia, NC, she was a daughter of the late Austin DeWitt and Inez Owings Rutledge. She retired from the Kendall Company after 37 years of service and was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church. She is survived by son, Gary Kay, of Williamston; and sister, Louise Rutledge Watson, of Pelzer. She was predeceased by a brother, James F. Rutledge. A cryptside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson with visitation immediately following the service.
