WILLIAMSTON – Gary Rutledge Kay, 62, of 309 Mitchell Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late James Buford and Dorothy Rutledge Kay. He was formerly employed with Owens Corning and a member of Whitefield Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. He is survived by his companion, Nadine Sanders of Starr; three aunts, Louise Watson of Pelzer, Juanita Bartelt of Taylors, Elizabeth Cooper of Easley. The funeral service will be at 3:00 pm Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the mausoleum chapel with entombment to follow. The family will receive friends following the service.
