They had two children Elwin Holbrook (1846 – 1916) and Linda Ann Holbrook (1847 – 1920 Mrs. Alonzo Azro Martin). Sarah died 19 Apr 1849 in Bloomfield, Essex, Vermont, USA. Julius went on to marry Melinda Sims (1807 – 1889), daughter of William Clark Sims (1780 – 1857) and his wife Sally Field (1780 – 1853). Sarah's children are listed in the will of William Clark Sims and he is presumed their grandfather. "Seventhly--I bequeath unto Elwin and Melind [Linda] Holbrook children of Julius Holbrook each one dollar in money."
