Actress. A native of Detroit, Michigan, she was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. After studying at the Pasadena Playhouse in the 1950s, she began appearing in stage producions opposite the likes of Stuart Erwin, Gladys Cooper, Edward Everett Horton, Cecil Kellaway, and Leo G. Carroll, among others. She also appeared in the films, "Hot Rod Girl" (1956), "Damn Citizen" (1958), "Young And Wild" (1958), and made numerous television appearances including, 'Ben Casey,' 'Vacation Playhouse,' 'The Twilight Zone,' 'Bonanza,' 'Wagon Train,' 'Route 66,' 'Wanted, Dead Or Alive,' 'Michael Shayne,' 'The Virginian,' 'The Brothers Brannagan,' 'Ensign O'Toole,' and 'Thriller.' In 1987, after two years of abusing the drug Xantax she kicked the habit and wrote the book, "Prescription Drug Addiction," and also helped found the Benzodiazepine Anonymous, a 12-step program for recovering addicts. She passed away from heart problems in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 75.
