Ann Rebecca Valentine was born in 1830, in Frederick County, Maryland, daughter of Jacob and Rebecca Picking Valentine. She was also the granddaughter of Jacob and Anna Mary Freeze Valentine. On May 14, 1857, in Maryland, she married Levi Baker, son of Jacob Baker. They were the parents of 4 children: Ellen Rebecca, Henry Charlton, Alice Lavinia and Thomas Milton Baker. Ann passed away in June 27, 1894, in Charles Town, Jefferson County, West Virginia, and was buried on the 29th in Edge Hill Cemetery there.
