Marilyn Detert Thompson, 59, of Lodi, died Saturday in a local hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Stockton and attended local schools, graduating from Lodi High School in 1944. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1948.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Lodi, Omegu Nu, Deltat Delta Delta sorority and the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She enjoyed art, music and reading.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard V. Thompson of Lodi two sons, one sister, Ruth Peirovich and two grandchildren. A third sob, David A. Thompson, died in 1957 at the age of 4.
