Leona Mae Allman, 80, of 5856 US Hwy. 19 North, Jane Lew, was called home to be with the Lord, while surrounded by her loving family, at 6:20 pm on Thursday, January 30, 2014, in the Mon General Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born December 31, 1933, in Weston, a daughter of the late Harry Scott and Azzlea Smith Beeson.
On December 26, 1952 she married Robert Dale "Toby" Allman who survives. They celebrated 61 years of marriage together. Her spirit will be carried on by her two sons, Bobby Allman and wife, Bonnie and Steve Allman and wife, Patty; two daughters, Pamela Honeycutt and husband, Dave and Malissa White and husband, Jeff; one sister, Irene Wishem and nine grandchildren, Amber Wilson and husband, Jeff, Sgt. Todd Allman and wife, Robin, Brian Allman, Amy Foster and husband, Brad, Kenny Honeycutt and wife, Kacey, Kevin Honeycutt and wife, Holly, Keith Honeycutt and wife, Stephanie, Brandon and Justin White and eight great- grandchildren: Connor, Gunnar, Landon, Madison, Brayden, Brody, Bentley and Blake.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Robert Willard Beeson and Forrest "Whitey" Beeson and two sisters, Wilma Cecil and Wilda Jean Eckle. Leona was an active, faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Jane Lew, where she sang in the choir and served on several committees. She cherished all time spent with her family, whether camping, cooking out, shopping, attending the grandchildren's athletic events or just sitting around the kitchen table, together, enjoying the fellowship of family. Her family was her pride and joy !
Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service 144 Hackers Creek Road, Jane Lew Tuesday, February 4, 2014 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday from the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Bonnie Starkey and the Reverend Ronnie Beeson officiating.
