Local Man Succumbs Wednesday
Afternoon At Hospital Here

Leonard Crisman, 67, of 603 Jefferson St., father of Judge Walter M. Crisman, of Porter circuit court, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Porter Memorial hospital. He was stricken Tuesday afternoon while visiting at the Walter Carlson home in Portage township. Death was due to a stroke.
The decedent was born near Crisman, in Portage Twp., Porter Co., June 14, 1880 a son of Milton and Alice (Fifield) Crisman. All of his life was spent in Porter Co.
For many years he was engaged in farming in Portage Twp., and four years ago he came to Valparaiso to reside. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are the widow, Winifred; two sons, Judge Walter M. Crisman and Leonard Crisman, Valparaiso; one daughter , Mrs. Ann Norman, Pittsburgh, PA.; one stepson, Myron Williamson, Valparaiso; two brothers Ross M. Crisman & Ray Crisman, of near Wheeler; one sister, Mrs. George Lute, of near Wheeler, and two grandchildren.
Memorial services Saturday at the Bartholomew funeral home with Rev. Harvey J. Keiser at the First Methodist church officiating. Burial in McCool Cemetery.
