Sarah Abbie Treadway Battle, age 80 of Byhalia passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013. She was born October 17, 1933 in Cockrum, Mississippi to the late Victor and Edna Treadway. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Byhalia. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carr E. "Boss" Battle; her daughter, Ruth Ann Battle; three brothers, Payne, Billy and Danny Treadway. Survivors include two daughters, Penny Battle and Peggy Nave (Carl); two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Anglin, and Eva Ann Laurent; four brothers, Frank, Edgar, Joey, and Dale Treadway; two grandchildren, Jessica Nave, and Samantha Blackard. The family will receive friends at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch Monday, November 18 from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday, November 19 at Brantley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Byhalia cemetery.
