Joann was a graduate of Bay View High School 1977 class
Joann was on her way home, when getting a flat tire, stopped on the freeway to change it. She was struck and killed by a driver who was driving on the shoulder of the road. Another woman, Ellen Preuss, who had stopped to help Joann with her flat tire was also struck and killed during this same accident.
Further survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends.
