MRS. BEATRICE GATTON CAVE, 74, of Brae Burn Ave., widow of Frank Cave, former Mansfield postmaster and ex-Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, died at Peoples Hospital Sunday noon following a stroke suffered at her home Friday.
Mrs. Cave was born in Bellville, February 22, 1891, the daughter of Patterson C. and Mary Muntis Gatton, and lived in this area all her life. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Women's Club, and American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are three cousins, Mrs. David J. Weaver of Mansfield, James Showecker of New Baltimore, Michigan and Mrs. Dale Berry of Mansfield.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Finefrock and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday morning with her pastor, the Rev. Clifford Schutjer, officiating. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
