"J. Gist Bowman was born at Savannah, Mo., June 25, 1860, and died in St Joseph, Mo., March 21, 1909. When a young man he became a member of the Christian Church. He was married to Miss Carrie Watson of St Joseph on Nov. 16, 1898. Of this union three children were born, one of whom with the mother survive him. The funeral was conducted from the residence by A.
