On October 21, 1940 he married the former Inez Welker, who died April 17, 1980.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marble Hill.
He is survived by two sons, Floyd and Jerry Green of Marble Hill, MO; two step-sons, Virgil Welker of Converse, LA; and Carl Welker of Arnold, MO; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Wolfenkoehler of Jackson, MO; and Mrs. Ruth Ann Crites of Marble Hill, MO; two brothers, Freddie Green of Scopus, MO; and Robert Green of Jackson, MO; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One brother and one grandchild preceded him in death.
Service was April 28 at Ward-Liley Funeral Home. Burial was in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
