Mr. John Charles Barbour, 77, of Dunn died Tuesday evening at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County on May 2, 1936 the late Thomas E. and Lou Ester Barbour.
John pulled mobile homes for Champion for over 40 years before retiring in 2004.
A funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home by Rev. Doug Howard. Burial will follow in Devotional Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Doris W. Barbour of Dunn, a son, John T. Barbour of Mt. Airy, a daughter, Darlene B. Jernigan and husband Perry of Coats, a sister, Eloise West of Dunn, four grandchildren, Justin and Josh Jernigan, Tiffany Smith and Jonathan Barbour, two great grandchildren, Grace and Lucas Jernigan.
