He was a cabinet maker. Clifford married Ollie Adelaide Roberts Dec 24 1925 in Campbell, GA. She was native of Dahlonega. There were no children born to this couple but they raised Adelaide's two nieces as their own.

Clifford Alexander was the son of James William Alexander and Mary Elizabeth Quinn Alexander. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and was a favorite of his many nieces and nephews. Adelaide was the daughter of Thomas Henson Roberts and Ollie Dulca King Roberts. She was a tiny woman who wore a size 2 shoe.

Clifford died of a sudden heart attack at a young age. Adelaide remarried years after Clifford's death to another widower, Walter Williams. Adelaide died May 1980 in Dekalb Co, Georgia, burial location unknown.
