Nancy Mae Calhoun. 78, of Grants Pass, died Monday, Nov. 26, 1990, at Providence Hospital in Medford.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford. with Dave Haney of the Grants Pass North Congregation of the Jehovah's Witnesses officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors is in charge of the arrangements.

She was born March 25, 1912. in Phoenix. Ore., and was raised in the Phoenix and Ruch areas. Ruch was named after descendants of her father's family. In 1928, she married her husband, James Calhoun, in Medford. She lived in Idaho before returning to Medford. She was a cook for several Medford restaurants, including Stanley's Restaurant, before retiring in 1979. She had lived in Grants Pass since 1985. She enjoyed watching television and reading.

Survivors include two daughters, Irene Head of Merlin and Wanda McGahuey of Central Point: a sister, Beulah Squires of Reno: a brother, Fred Ruch of Eugene: 18 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son. Gerald Calhoun, and daughter. Zelda Calhoun.
