LAYTON - Beloved mother, grandmother and sister, Hattie Harris Watt Adams, 92, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 1989 at her home.

She was born Dec.4, 1896 in Layton, a daughter of Richard Golightly and Mary Ann Harris Watt.

She married O'Keath Evans Adams July 27, 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 28, 1973.

She was reared and educated in Thatcher, Utah and resided in Layton the past 72 years.

She was an active member of the Layton 7th LDS Ward and had served as Relief Society and Primary teacher and Religion class secretary.

She was Davis County Mother of the Year in 1963.

She had worked for the school lunch program as a supervisor for 18 years.

She enjoyed cooking and gardening. She loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed being with her family.

Surviving are four sons and two daughters, Dean R. and wife Marjorie Adams, Von E. and wife JoAnn Adams, Evan W. and wife Gale Adams, ltha and husband Bill Hodson, LaRee and husband Roy Bowers, all of Layton; Val L. (Fern) and wife Kathie Adams, Mountain Green, Utah; 28 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Grace Jeppson, Corrine; Mrs. Lois Coombs, Honeyville.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Fern Orton, a brother and sisters.

Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. 1074 N. Fairfield Road where friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45-10:45 a.m.
