MEADE Nancy Ellen Gibson
MEADE Nancy Ellen Gibson, 100, widow of Ellis Meade, and loving mother and grandmother, died Thu, Jan 24, 2008. Mrs. Meade was born Oct 25,1907 in Letcher County, KY and was a homemaker and member of Porter Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include three children, Marlene Peyton, Lorraine (Jim) Harrison, and Fred (Sue) Meade; eight grandchildren, Nancy Meade Little, Derek Henson, Whitney Henson, Stephen Meade, Teresa Ann (Joe) Smouse, Gary Brown, David W. Meade, and Susan Shaver; eight great grandchildren, Michael McCray, Meghan McCray, Stephaney Meade, Mistie Leigh Boggs, Amber Lacey Brown, Shanna Marie Smith, Tyler Shaver, and Haley Shaver; a great great grandchild, Tate Alexander Boggs; and two daughters-in-law, Linda Meade and Lillian Meade. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Judge N. Mitchell Meade and Ray Meade; a son-in-law, Grover W. "Bill" Peyton; a grandchild, Aaron Alan Brown; and a great grandchild, Brett Wade Smouse. Funeral services will be 2:30pm Tues. at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Burial will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8pm Mon. Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Dr, Lexington, KY 40504.
