BILLY D. MEADE, 66, EX-PRESIDENT OF LEHMAN-MEADE CO., DIES

Billy D. Meade, 66, a former Lexington businessman, died Thursday at his home.
Mr. Meade, of 329 Kingsway Drive, was the retired president of Lehman-Meade Co. and was a partner in Meade Concrete Products Inc.
Mr. Meade was also a former president of Plantmix Asphalt Industry of
Kentucky and president of Speedco Corp. He served with the Kentucky Association of Highway Contractors and was a committee member of the National Asphalt Pavement Association.
Mr. Meade was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mae Brockman Meade; and two sons, William and David Meade, both of Lexington.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lexington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the W.R. Milward Mortuary -- Broadway. Contributions are suggested to the Hospice of the Bluegrass building fund, Cardinal Hill Hospital or God's Pantry.
