W. Russell Tanner , 85, of Florence, died at 5:31 p.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South. He was a retired service manager for International Harvester and a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a member of Florence Christian Church. Survivors include a son, Terry N. Tanner of Union; a daughter, Teena G. Whalen of Ft. Thomas; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home, Florence. Visitation will be there from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Hopeful Cemetery, Florence.
