Mrs. Angeline D. Barnett, 80, formerly of Edwardsville died Friday at 11:30 p.m. at the Taylor hospital in Mount Pleasant, Tex., from complications following a recent heart attack.
She was born Feb. 23, 1872, in Hamel township and had been a life time resident of Edwardsville until two years ago. At the time of death her residence was 504 East Fourth street, Mt. Pleasant, Tex [with her sister Georgia Mason]. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Sarah Judy Davis of Edwardsville. She was married to Frank J. Barnett on Jan. 1, 1896, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. I.A. Davis. He preceded her in death Jan. 23, 1943.
She is survived by one brother Russell Davis, and two sisters, Mrs. C.O. Lide and Mrs. Claude Mason, all of Mt. Pleasant, Tex. Two sisters preceded her in death, Mrs. R.I. McKee, and Mrs. Iliza Barnett.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Edwardsville, and the Ladies Aid of the church.
Friends may call at Lesley Marks funeral home after 7 p.m. Sunday until 9 a.m. Monday when the body will be taken to the First Presbyterian church to lie in state until time of service which will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with Rev. Frank L. Kinsman in charge.
Burial will be in Valley View cemetery.
