Thessalonia was the son of George and Virrader (Jones) Stokes. He enlisted in the US Air Force Oct. 31, 1951 during the Korean War. He was discharged Feb. 26, 1959.
Surviving him in 1997 were his wife, two daughters, five sons, and two brothers.
