The sixth child of Jacob and Martha (Martin) Miller. Born on 4 Apr. 1860 in Abbeville District, South Carolina. Married to Elizabeth McMillian on 12 Oct. 1882. They were the parents of Bessie, Helen N., Mary H., Thomas William, John Chauncey,Jr., Dorothy and Mildred Leslie Miller. Elizabeth died on 23 Aug. 1941. Death certificate lists John's occupation as that of a "Salesman". John Chanucey died on 24 Sept. 1927 at Columbia, SC.
