OBITUARY-
AUSTIN -- The funeral for Darlene R. Lavoie-Adams will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams with the Revs. Allen Gunderson and Donna Joseph co-officiating. Burial will be in Enterprise Cemetery in Rose Creek.
Mrs. Lavoie-Adams, 56, of 103 10th St. N.W., a Watkins distributor since 1980, died of cancer Sunday (Nov. 3, 1996) at Austin Medical Center.
Dalene R. Thorson was born Oct. 26, 1940, in Austin, grew up on the family farm near Rose Creek and graduated from Rose Creek High School in 1959. On Nov. 18, 1995, she married Vincent Adams at Little Cedar Lutheran Church. Her first husband, Wilfred Lavoie preceded her in death. She was a member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church and its circles. She enjoyed reading, working puzzles, crafts and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Randy Lavoie of Seattle, Wash., and Claude Lavoie of Austin; a daughter, Wanda (Mrs. Russell) Rud of Austin; five grandchildren; her mother, Mildred Thorson of Austin; five sisters, Delores Baldwin of Seattle, Sharon (Mrs. Worth) Gallentine of Owatonna, Gail (Mrs. Lyle) Kimpton of Lake Crystal, Minn., Ruth Mitchell of Austin and Carol (Mrs. Dan) Pierce of Brownsdale; and two brothers, Roger Thorson of Thorofare, N.J., and Thomas Thorson of Kenyon. She was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin.
