Dad proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II.
On January 15, 1945, he was united in marriage to the former Mary Helene Halbert.
Dad was employed by The Upjohn Co. for 34 years until his retirement in 1980.
He is survived by his three sons and daughter-in-laws; eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren (ages 3years, 3months, 1month), two sisters and two sister-in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews.
At the time of his death, there were 5 generations of Howe males (ages: 94, 67, 43, 27, and 3 months). The baby will never have the privilege of knowing his 2nd great grandpa.
Preceding him in death were his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary; grandsons, Stephen and Chad; 2 brothers, Pat and Bob; and 3 sisters, Leila, Olive and Carol.
A funeral service to celebrate Dad's life was held at Bethany Reformed Church where he had been a longtime member.
