Elizabeth M. Henry was born in Barnesville, Ohio, a daughter to Frank and Mary Hewison Henry. She married Emery McKinley Pettay and the couple resided in Toledo. She made her home there for 27 years. The couple had no children. Elizabeth was a member of the Second Baptist Church and its bible class. At the time of her death, she was survived by two sisters, Mrs. Altha Conn and Mrs. George Gates of Uhrichsville, and a brother, Joseph Henry of Dennison. She was preceded in death by her husband.
