WEOGUFKA, Alabama - A private family graveside service for Mrs. Wanda Liveoak "Katy" Danford, 61, is Monday, June 24, 2013 at Grimes Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Moore officiating.
Mrs. Danford enjoyed participating in church and community projects and spending time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of GCBC, and was the church financial secretary, church bulletin coordinator, social committee member and a children's Sunday school teacher, a children's bell choir coordinator, AWANA Cubbies Leader, Deaconess, cochairman of Relay for Life Luminaries and Imerys Relay for Life team member. She loved helping her husband, Rick, around the home, cooking and entertaining for family events.
Mrs. Danford is survived by her husband, Edwin Rickey Danford of Weogufka; son, Eric Rickey ( Jamie Finn) Danford; daughter, Emily Day Danford of Weogufka; brothers, Herschel "Buddy" ( Merna) Liveoak of Sylacauga, Huelon ( Elaine) Liveoak of Weogufka and Larry ( Cynthia) Liveoak of Sylacauga; sisters, Jimmie Ruth ( Lumis) Culver of Lacey Spring, Gayle Liveoak ( Buddy) Adcox of Weogufka, and Rhonda Liveoak ( Michael) Chappell of Sylacauga; grandchildren, Hayden and Lily Kate Danford.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Lodis "Rip" Liveoak, Bruce Liveoak, Richard Liveoak and sister Linda Liveoak Thomas.
