Ruth V. Gobrecht, of Hanover, entered into God's Heavenly Kingdom October 27.

She was the daughter of the late Harry and Grace V. (Long) Sterner.

Mrs. Gobrecht was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Hanover, The Pythian Sisters, and an honorary member of the Beta sigma Phi sorority.

She also was a volunteer at the Hanover YWCA for several years, and a gray lady for the Hanover Hospital.

She once worked for the Middleburg Mfg. Co., and later was a self-employed seamstress.

She was the wife of the late Joseph C. Gobrecht, who departed this life in 1995, and is survived by three daughters, Toppy G. Bell, of Richardson, TX, Roberta D. Lighty and Virginia G. Heath, both from York; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Topper; three half sisters, Margaret Muntzer, Marie Ealy and Clare Michael; one grandson.
