Mr. R. D. Bridger, steward at the Elks Club, had a stroke of paralysis about 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon while on duty at the club and died last night at 8 o'clock at St. Francis Sanitarium where he was taken soon after being stricken. His remains were later removed to the Elks Club where they await shipment to his old home at Columbia on the early southbound Iron Mountain train tomorrow morning. A delegation of Elks will accompany the remains.

Mr. Bridger was about 42 years old. He was a member of a prominent Caldwell parish family.

He is survived by two brothers and two sisters.
